“He Is Risen & He Will Return”
FOCUS
“I serve a risen Savior He’s in the world today, I know that He is living whatever men may say; I see His hand of mercy I hear His voice of cheer & just the time I need He’s always near — He lives He lives Christ Jesus lives today, He walks with me & talks with me along life’s narrow way, He lives He lives salvation to impart, you ask me how I know He lives, He lives within my heart.”
And so we find ourselves celebrating again today the resurrection of Jesus Christ that took place some 1991years ago. It was definitely a Sunday. And it absolutely is meant to be changing our lives.
The Reality of Jesus’ Resurrection Calls Us to …
1. new life, power, purpose & peace.
This changes everything.
Romans 6:1-11 / Luke 24:44-49 & Acts 1:8 (2:1-4)
Matthew 28:18-20 / John 14:27 & Luke 24:36ff
2. keep moving onward & upward in Him in anticipation of His return.
Our lives should bear witness to His resurrection & upcoming return.
Ephesians 1:18-21 Philippians 3:7-14 Titus 2:11-14 (esp v13)
Making It Real
1] How evident are these for experiences & expressions in & through your life?
2] Does this describe the default in your mind & heart concerning you?
Action Step
Bring these two points to God in prayer each day this coming week. Ask Him to
make them more real to & through you than they’ve ever been before.
